Imperialism Project

We did the imperialism project becuase we wanted to know how was some places were discovered and by which people and credit to do it. Also know who name the places or great lakes like lake Victoria and other known parts of the region of Africa that has other English names in their region. Also we did this project to learn that never to give up from what you started from. Always accomplish until the end. What i laerned from doing this project was that John Speke committed suicide when he was the one who found the lake and named it after the queen of Britian. John Speke suffered alot in their way to finding the source of the nile river. Also the source of the nile river is

Film Lesson: "Mountains of the moon"

This film is all about when eurpeans went to africa to map the world to places were other people havent reached yet so what happens is that a guy named Richard Burton and John Speke go to explore and also want to find the source of the nile river and by doing this the first thing they do was to higher some slaves or workers from them to come on the expedition. When they were on their journey they would see other tribes and give them gifst so they wont get attcked or robbed. They would sleep at nights little becuase they would need to be careful from the mosquitos because they had malaria and it was a disease that their was no cure back then and if you were infected you were pretty much screwed. Also when Speke went to keep going on the search for the source of the nile he discovered a lake which present it is lake victoria and this has it name like that because they wanted to name it after their queen of england. The reason why the english people had an advantage against the africans because of their better army supplies and weapons. They would eventually finish the africans from their new weapon the machine gun destroy their tribes but the problem was that they wouldnt be able to go far into africa because of Malaria from the mosquitos. Then they retreated and went back to england to find a cure for malaria and when they did they had two great advantages agaisnt the africans the weapons and the cure for malaria.

Nationalism and the Creation of Italy

The definition of nationalism is like three types of people or persons from different countries, estates that make it up. Also Nationalism is also about not the people being controlled by monarchs or empires because thats not the point is that when all the people in their country go to the idea that they all share the culture and their language. This is what makes them united and connected country.

Simon Bolivar and Latin American Revolutions

Simon Bolivar was born in Caracas,Venezuela and he was a hero all over south america thats why he is famous also becuase he has helped many people to gain their independence in their own countries from the european power which were the spanish people and then he would think he would go to europe and study thigns about over thier when he heard soemthing about a revolution and how a country in europe named france were freed and he was also influnced by it. also he studied their way of government and also ht were freed by the rule of Britain. When he made all his studies and had made a trip back to his country and he started to make a revolutionary army and he would make plans so he can make millitary strategies to defeat the spanish millitary. He had a few lost battles but eventually he won the war he freed south america and this leads him to be a hero.

When the revolutionary war in south america kept going on Simon Bolivar had been sick and he was still strong and going after the war was over the three countries which were columbia, ecuador, and venzuela were known as the gran columbia becuase he thought if these three countries were to unite as one they would be a strong country. The idea didnt work though as the people in these three countries fought for land and they wanted to be separated and have their governments differently.

John Locke and the enlightment

John Locke is a guy who influenced and improved future democracy and other things to constitutional things to America. Also he heavily influenced Thomas Jefferson. John Locke was a smart enlightment thinker than other people. Locke had a modern human view of nature. What this means he sees humans that there all born the same and equal and should be treated all alike. John locke would think that life, property, and liberty would be the three major things that he thought as an enlightment thinker. John had a purpose to all of this and he would try to protect these natural rights. Locke would think that if these natural rights were not protected then people would have the right to over throw government and proceed with these rights. He would have meetings in Paris were he would in salons were rich people were and disccuss these ideas which later on it becomes modern democracy. He woul talk about how power was separated in the government which were the branches of checks and balances. John Locke would be influenced alot by many other people bu also other people were influenced by him.

The trial of gaileo

In the trial of Galileo he went for trial of trying to explain the universe of how he thinks the earth is not in the center of the universe but instead the sun is in the center of the universe but other people think that is not true so thats why he is their. During his trials it was two worlds that dangers of a bureaucracy intent on preserving its own power. Galileo at young age was a very skilled scientist and this is why he kept on going to his studies about his theory on how the sun is in the middle of the universe. During his trial he was going against the scholastism and religious systems and he ended the itlalian renissance. Galileo would go with ideas from older guys plan that he also thought that with copernicus studies he would have proof to show in court against the church and religious people. These were some things that galileo galilie said in his trial against the catholic church. "ina any way" teach the doctrine of the motion of the Earth and the stability of the Sun, I answered that I had not done so. And, not being questioned as to the reason why I had not intimated it, I had no opportunity to add anything further"

evolution vs creation

Evolution
in evolution their is a process were it takes a long period of time for something can change into another form in which it can completely change its natural habitat and instinct. Also in evolution Darwin believes that humans didnt evolve from apes he thinks that we all came from an earlier primative source. Also he proves this by saying in one of his researches that he went to the galapagos islands and all birds were from a same type of earlier bird becuase they have evolved over the years.
Creation

In creation people thatt believe in this are the churches and the religoius people. They believe that the people were created by god who he first made the man and then the woman and that from their on they had babies and so on. though the people from evolution think thats impossible for that to happen. People also think that in creation they think the world is was done in seven days by god just saying it outloud. Also creatism was also like a sort of large group of people. This is all about creation also Darwin got arrested for believing his ways of evolution instead of staying with the creation beliefs.

My opinion.
When i read the articles about creation and evolution i was a little convinced about that probably darwin might be right about an earlier primitave life of monkeys and humans but i believe in creation so thats all i have to say and im done.

The Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Method

The scientific method is all about when they try to prove or disprove something of any. In the scientific method is experimented and ends with their own conclusions. most scientist got their scientific ideas from the roman greeks and other people which is still needed to explain and i will get back on that. Some people looked up in the bible too. This forced to change during the 17th and 18th century because of this revolution. We notice this as revolution had an natural change and technical change and that changed structures in all over europe. This aslo has changed the aspect of human beings and to see differently how the world and the universe really is. This scientific revolution has no official date of when it started becuase this revolution goes back even more than copernicus. Their were many other medieval people that described the same thoery of the sun and is Ptolemy solved the problem in two ways. First, he made the elliptical orbits eccentric, that is, while the planets still orbited around the sun, the center of the circle of their orbit was not the earth, but a point somewhere else. Each planetary orbit, then, had a different center of rotation. But this still didn't explain every instance of precession. So Ptolemy took the planets out of their orbital path and set them spinning around a moving point on the orbital path., like a tether-ball spinning around a moving pole. These extraorbital orbits Ptolemy called epicycles
