Mikhail Gorbachev and the collapse of communism.

This blog im going to write about what happened to this guy Mikhail Gorbachev and whatever happened to communism. The thing that happened to communism and why it collapsed its because it failed as an economy for all the people that communist and couldnt no longer compete to other countries who where capitalists becuase they were going ahead of them and escpecially Russia the country that has been communist for over 70 years couldnt no longer keep up with races in the arms races or the space race becuase their econmy was going doooooooown!!!!!!!!!! So this Gorbachev was trying to save the Soviet Union but he Eventually trigered them from breaking up them from communist. The Perestrokia means restructuring like i was saying Mikhail was trying to help the soviet union but he failed. The glasnosts was the time of policy of maximal publicity.

african independence

this blog i will be talking about how the africans got their indepnednece from the white people from the european countries. First i am going to talk about england becuase they where one of the countries that many resources from africa that many countries where freed by their empire. also their was france spain and many others that had control over africa. So what happned was some countries didnt use violence and some countires just didnt know what todo and rampaged and then used non violence to get their independence. then africa little by little the countries where being given their independence so then african countries were freed but then they were so poor becuase they were left alone but with no help at all.

nelson mandela and the aparthied

This guy was a freedom hero who helped put people from slavery. he made most countries from africa from slavery he basicly was like the father and hero of africa he went to jail for many reasons when he came out he some lines saying that what was the point of being free from prison if really no one is really free out their in Africa or whereever their was slavery. this act or line that he made was very inspirational for the african people all over Africa. He said Africa was like a gold mine because of its great resources that were their. So it was not fair that all those riches were for other countries that controled parts of Africa so a lot of people voted for Nelson Mandela for president of south Africa. This was great for the African people because now all the countries were influenced by what Nelson Mandela went through and they all decided to get free and become independent countries.

"The Right Stuff"

The right stuff was about some people going to space. The americans and the russians where going to have a race to which nation can get to space first. even though eventually the russians did get to the moon first. In the mean time the americans were developing their space shuttle to get to the moon and to be safer. the americans then later on went to the moon and made one big step for man kind. They might of won the race to sapce but the americans got to the moon and gave the great step for mankind which is better than flying around and doing anything.

Cold War

The cold war was a time were the Soviet Union and the United States of America were at a time were threatning each other from bombing Nucs on each other. what they do was fight ach other during propagandas. they will try to make the other feel less important than the other. They Also came up with this group called N.A.T.O which stand for North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

night and fog.

Night and fog was a very interesting documentary becuase it shows how things were done during the operations in the camps, ghettos, and concentration camps during WWII. Then it was sad becuase it was like the guy in the documentary how he says when all the horror of the world was focused in this one whole occation. now that it is empty its an entire ghost town. also i think that the entire video wass very strong in the sense that everything was like creepy. the guy talking during the documentary made a good point on every scene that was shown. He would make it sound as he was their like if he feels the presence of others that suffered in that situation in the camps. The part were it shows that were the peoples footprint use to pass by everytime now its a garden of roses.

schindlers list

In this film its about how the jews did their hard labor to work for Germany. Many people thought that they were just used for the war to help them make stuff because Germany was in war. Also they had parts where the jewish people were put in the ghettos. They would make them do hard labor work that was for evrybody even including people from schindlers list. Schindler went to see the massacre of the Jews with his wife to see what they were doing in krakow,Poland. Schindler thought since the jews did a lot of labor for their survival then he thought instead of leaving to auschwitz he would keep his jews and keep them for he can make them do labor work. He saved alot of jews from dying going into auschwitz. Als0 he went to get his women from auschwitz becuase he needed them. They were accidently sent to auscwitz. he went and he didnt just save the women but also their children who were getting captured by the german soldiers so that they can burn them. This was good things that schindler did for the jews. Also the night when germnay lost the war completetly schindler and his soldiers were there to leave the jews behind but the soldeirs had orders to eliminate the jews but otherwise schindler step in and said go home as men not murders.

The Treaty of Versailles

The treaty of Versailles is the treaty that ended the war in the palace Versailles. This ended the ww1 for the whole continent of Europe. the whole thing affected germany for their damage, they decrease the german millitary up to 100,000 men and cut their fleets in half. They were to lose also 13 percent of their land and also along with 48 percent of all iron production was lost long with the land. they also lost 16 percent of their coal production. They lost their most important resources with the war. they didnt just loose their important resources of war but they also lost their 12 of their people. They were either getting totured or used for hard labor. They were also increase so much taxes that they were going to a miserable time. this was very hard for the Germans. Then after all this disaster happened 20 years later a man named Hitler they needed a person to make them go foward. They were under his control immediately. he promised that he would make Germany a better place to live. He ignored the Treaty and brong up the German millitary more than 100,000 soldiers adn made more weapons and got back their land. They also increased their millitary fleet.

Mustafa Kemal (atartuk) and the modernization of turkey.

Mustafa kemal is the first president for the country turkey. He was first to gain so much power in a short period of time when he transformed his nation into a more modern turkey republic nation. He was also a big inspiration for the world at large. after fighting in ww1 for the British he was also a liberator in 1919 for turkey. He also triumphed in freeing his country from invaders in 1923. he made it republic and then he wanted to change all lifestlye in turkey becuase he wanted them to live like Europeans. He wanted the turkish people to get rid off the fez hats that they wore and wanted them to were western clothing and werstern hats.

Film Lesson Gandhi

Gandhi helped his country gained independence from the british people by using this thing called non-violence. he thought if he used non violence from instead of using violence he thought it would make him look better if they are innocent and get to the other people see how brutal the people from great britian were. He would march with big crowds of indian people. to protest peacefully without hurting know one. He told his people that they will not raise a hand onm the British if they do dont fight back becuase that will make them look bad. He have conference meetings with high British authorities. Gandhi told them to wear their own clothes that they dont need to wear the British. Then he went some salt march were he use this idea to make salt because the indian ocean is part of India so they think its unfair that the British people could make their salt while that was theirs.

Russian Revolution

What started the revolution was the collective term of seriuos amounts of revolutions in 1917. This is were the tsarist autocracy led to the creation of the soviet union. In february of 1917 the Czar was removed by provisional government that that at the second month or so was then removed and then bolshevik took over. This meant Russia became a communist country. Then their was a revolution focused and in st petersburg becuase some people of Duma wanted to have control over Russian government. So one side had more control over their militia and other thought if they didnt make their own army they would think that the government will use their own soldiers against them. So this the russian governmental powers were invincible for their people so they had a revolution and their own people made their army during WW1 then this left their country in munity.

Cause Of WWI

What caused ww1 was the assassination of a Austrian leader that was assassinated by a serbian guy who killed him while in his car and did not just shoot him but also his wife. This was something called the powder cake explosion. This then was a reason for Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia
